The Edmonton Corn Maze is celebrating 100 years of the Alberta Motor Association with a new design carved into the field for the 2026 season.

The centennial-themed maze includes more than five kilometres of paths shaped into an aerial image of AMA’s brand. Visitors will also find trivia highlighting a century of Alberta motoring history, along with a large display of vintage Alberta licence plates.
The AMA partnership adds a local history angle to the annual attraction. This year’s design looks back at a century of road trips, roadside assistance and travel across Alberta, while giving visitors the familiar challenge of finding their way through several kilometres of twists and turns.
The maze opened Aug. 5, but this year’s field looks different after a difficult growing season. Record rainfall and an early hailstorm left some sections of corn shorter and thinner than expected, with visible gaps between the plants.
Organizers say the maze is “fully walkable,” although current conditions are very muddy. Other farm activities are operating as usual, and visitors are being reminded that ticket purchases are final.
Completing the maze typically takes between 45 and 90 minutes. The attraction has introduced a new design every year since opening in 2001.
In addition to enjoying getting lost in the “ear-resistible” maze while celebrating homegrown goodness, you can also enjoy the bright and cheery field of sunflowers for two to three weeks in September. Get lost in a 15-acre field of corn as you work your way through the Edmonton Corn Maze from start to finish or snap some bright pictures amidst giant sunflowers.
Those planning a visit during the opening week may want to bring sturdy footwear, the most important item to bring. The corn may be shorter in places, but the mud is not.
