Sunflower Fields in and around Edmonton
1. Edmonton Corn Maze

Every year, Edmonton Corn Maze cuts a new design so that visitors can get lost in a “new way” in the maze. There is also a wide field with sunflowers to catch up with “blossoming” selfies. They also offer a variety of fun farm activities including pedal carts, and jumping pillows. Single admissions are offered which include a cheerful experience of all the farm activities.

Cost: General admission charge is $13, for youth aged 4 to 11 it is $10, and for kids it is free.
2. Prairie Gardens
Spread over 35 acres of land, Prairie Gardens offers 50 or more farmyard fun activities for kids and adults. Along with the Sunflower and the Corn Maze, there are other handmade flower collections available to purchase. There are 3 maze adventures available – Minotaur Kids Sunflower Maze, Mindbender Corn Maze, and Sunflower Sunflower Maze. You can also pick your own flowers and veggies here.

3. Birchwood Meadows

Birchwood Meadows has 35 varieties of flowers and other blooms for visits and pick-ups. Individuals, groups, and photographers, everyone is welcomed in the farm to experience the scenic beauty. The farm is famous for flower inspired scavenger hunt, and summer flower fest.

Cost: Entry booking is free as of now, and there is a minimum price for purchases that is $15. Festivals are ticketed.
4. Green Thumb Kids (Farmstand and Sunflower)

This is a seasonal farm stand and sunflower field especially famous for various locally grown flowers and veggies and also for other herbs, eggs, and more. There is about 1/4 acre of Sunflower field available back to the Pine trees, cornfields, Strawberries, and others, hence providing picturesque scenery.

Cost: $50 for a private session of an hour for 5-10 people and $12 per person for a group of fewer than five people.
Sunflower Fields in Central Alberta
1. Kraay Family Farm

Home of the famous Lacombe Corn Maze, this place has about 40 attractions so that visitors can enjoy farm-related fun the whole day. Enjoy traditional farm activities and get lost in the Corn Maze, and the Sunflower field. Sunflower maze and festival were included in Kraay Family Farms in 2019, thus they are one of the new members in Alberta’s Sunflower farms. During the festival, a free sunflower is included with every ticket brought after 7 PM and free Sunflowers for the first 20 entries every day.

2. Bowden SunMaze at Eagle Creek Farms
This is the best place to visit if you want to get lost in the charms of the glorious sunflower fields. The Maze is at its full blossom with about 100,000 Sunflowers spread around 3 acres of the field by mid-August. Location experiences frequent rain and shine and thus proper clothing with rubber boots is preferred during the visits. Sun Maze at Eagle Creek Farms is pet-friendly. There is also a selection of annuals and perennial flowers including zinnias, snapdragons, ornamental grasses and more. The u-pick flower season is typically early August until Mid September.

Cost: $10 for adults, $6 for children, and free for children of age 4 or below. For a group of 10 or more, there is a $1 discount on each and a $2 discount on each for 20 or above people.
Sunflower Fields in Calgary and Southern Alberta
1. Calgary Farmyard
Calgary Farmyard introduced 2.5 acres of newest Sunflower Maze in 2019. The Sunflower Festival is on for only 2 weeks with exciting experiences. Other attractions include 10+ acres in size corn maze, petting zoo, jumping pillows, and various festivals to celebrate farm activities.

Cost: $16.95 (+GST) per person of age 4 and above with online bookings and $18.95 (+GST) per person for purchases made at the gate. Children below 3 have free entry.
2. Paradise Hill Farm Sunflower Fields

Paradise Hill Farm offers an iconic Sunflower field to visit and experience the photogenic environment. The field opens in August, but it has a pre-booking open to reserve the visit timings to the Sunflower blossom. The fields can be booked between 7 AM to 7 PM with variant costs.

Cost: Any day in the week from early morning to noon @ $50, Monday to Thursday noon till 7 PM @ $75, Friday to Sunday noon till 7 PM @ $100, and any day between 7 PM until dark @ $150. All of these charges are for the whole booking for 1 hour.
