OEG Sports & Entertainment today announced that a massive snow maze will be built at the new Fan Park in ICE District.
The Fan Park, a 12-months-a-year programmable space, which was announced last week will be located immediately east of Rogers Place between 102 Street and 101 Street at the former site of the Baccarat Casino.
Upon completion, the Fan Park will feature a large, fenced, programmable space, art installations and greenery designed to accommodate festivals, sports and a variety of other events.
In spring and summer, the venue will host ball hockey, public events, exhibitions and live entertainment. Youth hockey programming on portable outdoor rinks will be hosted in winter.
The winter programming at the new Fan Park will begin with a massive 75’x75’ Oilers-themed maze opening to the public on December 23rd. As per the announcement, it will include multiple photo opportunities, a slide, and a locker room.
Tickets for the Snow Way Out snow maze will go on sale on Monday, December 12. The maze will be open until January 29th.
As part of Fan Park’s winter programming, called Winter SoltsICE, there will be 12 days of winter adventure and entertainment for the entire family. This includes a variety of special events such as skating with Santa in the Plaza, a Boxing Day Sale at the Oilers Team Store, the Oilers Skills Competition, Oilers and Oil Kings hockey, an epic New Year’s Eve celebration and more.
Tickets for the Oilers Skills Competition will go on sale Friday, December 9 at 10:00 AM MT.
