On Edge Brewing
Despite a couple of break-ins and bad luck in the last few months, On Edge Brewing is now open in south Edmonton! As a new local micro-brewery, On Edge Brewing is, of course, all about the beers! But they take this a tiny step further by offering a full food menu filled with beer-infused goodies. This include beer-based sauces, or beer battered chicken for example.

Maverick’s Donuts
Edmonton recently saw the grand opening of its first Maverick’s Donuts, a newer Canadian donut chain. The first location is in the deep south of Edmonton, so it was only fitting that they open the next Edmonton Maverick’s Donuts on the north side! These donuts are baked to perfection with a modest number of toppings so you can taste the amazing donut recipe they use.

The Colombian
The Colombian is Edmonton’s fastest-growing coffee roasters and local cafes. They recently opened their fourth location in the city, but it might be hard to find if you don’t know where to look. But all you need to do is look for the big Todd Cleaners sign on Whyte Ave. The café took over the easily recognizable building and the left the exterior with its old Whyte charm! Inside you’ll find a modern café with fresh brews, sweet treats, and a nice place to enjoy a book.

Shiawase Ramen
Warm your soul this winter with Edmonton’s newest ramen spot. Shiawase Ramen’s timing for a grand opening is perfectly timed with the drop in temperatures outside. But no matter time of year, the new local spot offers hearty dishes, and a cozy dining room in which to savour it all.

Bella
This new casual restaurant on Whyte Ave. takes its culinary inspiration from Italian cuisine. And while these dishes hail from Italy originally, the ingredients are sourced locally when possible. They offer a simple menu of snacks, main dishes, desserts, and handmade pasta (the star of the menu!). Try a fresh plate of gnocchi, spaghetti, or rotolo (rolled lasagna).
