3. Creating Newspaper Marionettes

What can you do with piles of newspaper, spools of string and rolls of masking tape? Make a puppet of course! Believing that limitations are the source of ingenuity Ali will coach participants on how to make something wonderful from old news. – Ages 10+ Adults welcome Details

4. Paper Folded Birds

This month WP Puppet Theatre is joining the Festival Of Animated Objects with a free drop-by puppet making workshop! Cut, fold, colour and glue! It’s that easy to make your own feathered friend puppet with fun paper sculpture techniques. Celebrate real or imaginary birds that can sing, squawk or flap their wings. Materials and tools supplied. Alice’s Wonderland is an adaptation of the novel and stories by Lewis Carrol, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Alice Through the Looking Glass. Alice is a 12 year old girl who, while sitting with her sister, falls asleep and enters a wonderland of fanciful characters each adding their own humor and dimension to the adventure. Through all the absurdity and whimsy, Alice learns a great deal about life and growing up in a precarious world. Details

It’s hilarious fun to raise money to support clinical trials and research at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre.
