1. All Night Long: The Music of the 80s

We’re digging into the vinyl vaults to bring you the best synth-pop and new wave hits you remember. With the era’s breezy chart topers like Cyndi Lauper’s True Colours, Phil Collins’s In The Air Tonight, Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing, Lionel Richie’s All Night Long and Sting’s Every Breath You Take, soloists Nicole Parker and Aaron Finley, and the NAC Orchestra will have you singing and dancing All Night Long! 2. Wilfred LeBouthillier

Audiences can’t ignore the charisma that Wilfred LeBouthillier displays on stage. His appearance on the Plains of Abraham with Jean-Marc Couture, opening for Céline Dion in July 2013, proved to us again that the public adore him. A natural crowd-pleaser, the artist presents a show with elements of folk, pop and country. He won over French audiences in 2011 and 2012 in such venues as the Paris Olympia, La Cigale, the Paris Casino and the Casino Barrière in Lille. Details

3. Lynne Hanson with Petr Cancura’s Crossroads

Roots music, rough-around-the-edges folk—Ottawa’s own singer-songwriter Lynne Hanson prefers porch music with a little red dirt. In the fall of 2014 Lynne released her fourth studio album, River of Sand, to stellar reviews, making numerous best of 2014 lists, including the Indie Acoustic Project best Alt Country CD of 2014, while the track “This Too Shall Pass” placed second in the Indie International Songwriting Contest in summer 2015. 4. Chriscross

chriscross is the duo of songwriters Chris MacLean and Christine Graves. Both artists have blended Canadiana and world folk traditions in their work as solo artists and with the respective ensembles Galitcha, Frida’s Brow and Malaika for over 20 years. Details

Enjoy an exploration of pieces originally written for brass quintet as well as well-known quintet standards. Details

1. Le dire de Di

French Theatre! In this “play for a woman alone,” the author of La guerre au ventre (winner of the 2011 Prix Michel-Tremblay awarded by the Fondation du CEAD) and Le Testament du couturier (2003 Trillium Book Award) introduces a fascinating poem-character, a child-woman whose vertiginous discourse will be delivered by Céline Bonnier. 2. Batsheva Dance Company – Last Work

With its shifts from sustained, meditative movement to frenzied bursts of energy, Last Work is being hailed as yet another masterwork from Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin. Leaving the title and the work itself open to interpretation, Naharin’s potently emotional new piece is at times overtly political, at times elliptically puzzling. Details

3. Other Desert Cities

The play’s events occur around the Christmas 2004 holiday, when the family of Polly and Lyman Wyeth gather in Palm Springs, California, including their easy-going son and Polly’s sister Silda straight out of rehab. Polly and Lyman (a Reagan-like former movie star) are Republicans, while Silda (who with Polly co-wrote a series of MGM comedies in the 60s) is a liberal. Details
