Christmas Lights Across Canada: Enjoy the magical winter lightscapes, a multimedia show that follows the exciting journey of Grizzli, Fox and Snowman through imaginary landscapes on their quest for light, that will be projected onto Parliament Hill’s Centre Block until December 25. See Prismatica, a participatory installation, with the countless colourful reflections made by its 24 giant prisms at Parliament Hill. Details

Families can enjoy and make art with activities inspired by our national collection and current exhibitions. This holiday season we’ll be creating winter scenes, ornaments, nighttime cityscapes and more. Details
4. Winter Frolic
Join us at the Museum this holiday season for a fun exploration of vintage toys and classic games. Try your hand at some old fashioned games, some classic ones and admire and play with some toys from the past. Also, visitors can enjoy our gingerbread house village which will be on display for viewing and judging. Then, for some tasty treats, join us in our demonstration kitchen to bake soft ginger cookies and help make some International seasonal holiday desserts. Don’t forget to stop by our craft corner and try some easy Japanese origami and other various paper crafts. Visit the animals in the barns and check out the other demonstrations being offered! ! 5. Winter Takes Flight
Programs include: Reconnaissance Mission Obstacle Course, Messages of Hope from the Christmas Truce of 1914 Scavenger Hunt, Discover a Nunavik holiday tradition, learn about Inuit customs, and participate in a candy drop while learning about legendary Inuk bush pilot Johnny May and his unique way of sharing the holiday spirit and more! 1. Pinchas Conducts Haydn
Kick start the new year with Haydn’s Symphony No. 104, also known as the “London” Symphony as it was composed during Haydn’s second visit to the city. Joined by accomplished Japanese violinist Fumiaki Miura in his first performance in the Nation’s Capital, the evening is paired with works by Elgar, Beethoven and Saint-Saëns. In a program that has something for everyone, it is sure to delight all audiences! And join us post-concert for a Post-Concert Talk with Eric Friesen and the artists. Details

There really is no place like home. Our heroine, Dottie, gets lost in a snow storm and ends up in a strange land. Along the way she meets Bob Cat, Al Loy and The Faircrow. Lost in the big city, they get help from Glenda the Good. Dottie just wants to see Auntie Hem and her dog, Otto again. But first she must stop Wanda the Wicked from taking over the Ruby Slipper Cafe. You will be over the rainbow with this year’s all new family musical.

The Youth committee at the Ottawa Adventist church invites the entire community to a black tie gala, as we try to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa. Doors open at 7:00 PM. The event will take place at the beautiful Horticulture Building in Lansdowne Park. Join us for this fancy affair, and bring your friends and family!
