2. Canada’s Kitchen

Walk back in time through the new exhibit at Laurier House; Canada’s Kitchen, set in WWII times. Meet with actors in era-costume and immerse your kids into the full historical experience of a WWII Canadian home-front kitchen. Try small rations of food invented in that time (SPAM, Kraft Dinner, and Jello salad), and listen to live big band music! Kids can enter the photo booth dressed in WWII costumes, and we’ll send the photos home to you. There will be games of that era played on the front lawn, and swing dancers throughout the day will kick it up! Come for the day: bring your picnic lunch!
