Toronto 
This Sunday, May 4, Firehouse Subs locations across Canada will mark International Firefighters’ Day with community events and a national fundraiser aimed at supporting first responders.
Select restaurants will host “Touch-the-Truck” events, where families can get up close to real fire trucks and meet the firefighters behind them. The hands-on experience is designed to offer a fun, family-friendly way to connect with local emergency service personnel while highlighting the important work they do.
Firehouse Subs will be donating $1 from every Hook & Ladder Sub sold that day to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada. The foundation supports first responders across the country by funding equipment, training, education, and disaster response needs.
To date, more than $5 million has been granted to Canadian communities by the foundation. The funding spans five key areas: lifesaving equipment, education tools for prevention and preparedness, scholarships for public safety officers, natural disaster support, and aid for military veterans transitioning to civilian service roles.
