The showcase will transform the Conservatory’s pyramids with floral mannequins inspired by Edmonton’s cultural institutions, including the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Citadel Theatre, Shumka, and the Edmonton Chamber Music Society. Other designs will highlight TELUS World of Science, the Art Gallery of Alberta, the University of Alberta Botanic Garden, and Indigenous cultures, with a piece created in collaboration with I.A.M. Collective.
Rhonda Norman, Director of River Valley and Horticulture for the City of Edmonton, said the venue is “the perfect setting to celebrate Edmonton’s rich arts and culture,” noting extended viewing hours will accommodate high demand.
Karen Marshall, Co-Founder of Fleurs de Villes, said the event showcases “immersive fresh floral storytelling” and called it “the floral event of the year.”
