For the first time in Canadian history, the LOTTO MAX jackpot has soared to a record-breaking $75 million, setting the stage for an unprecedented draw this Friday, September 13, 2024.
This milestone comes after the lottery’s main jackpot cap was recently increased to $80 million. Should the jackpot remain unclaimed this Friday, it will roll over to the maximum cap of $80 million in the subsequent draw on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Per the news release, this week’s LOTTO MAX draw offers the historic $75 million jackpot and features 12 Maxmillion prizes, bringing the total top prize offering to $87 million. These additional prizes each worth $1 million, become available when the main jackpot exceeds $50 million, adding more opportunities for players to win substantial amounts.
Tickets are available for purchase until 10:30 PM ET on the day of the draw at numerous retail locations across Canada, as well as online through authorized provincial lottery platforms. These include the Atlantic Lottery at alc.ca, Loto-Quebec at lotoquebec.com, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation at OLG.ca, Western Canada Lottery Corporation at wclc.com, and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation at Playnow.com.
The LOTTO MAX Second Chance Contest is running until October 19, 2024. This contest offers players extra chances to win with every ticket purchased, featuring 30 weekly prizes of $10,000 and a grand prize of $1 million. This bonus event, dubbed the Lotto Max Dream Big Event, enhances the excitement around the already thrilling LOTTO MAX draws.
