Per the news release, this places it third in the Greater Toronto Area and sixth nationwide, with a 3% sales increase from the previous year, translating to an additional $100 per square foot.
The center, spanning over 2.2 million square feet, is preparing for future growth with the introduction of new luxury brands and expansions of existing stores. Nike is expanding its store to a 17,000 square foot flagship location, and Apple has recently upgraded to a 15,000 square foot space with a cutting-edge store format.
Several new brands, including Alo and the first Abercrombie and Fitch store, are set to open soon. Additionally, expansions are underway for several retailers like Swarovski and Burberry in Holt Renfrew, while H&M and Browns are remodeling and enlarging their premises.
Square One is also enhancing its dining options by adding new eateries such as Au Pain Doré and Edo Japan to its roster of over 100 food destinations.
Managed by Oxford Properties and owned by Alberta Investment Management Corporation, Square One also hosts a center of innovation and community at IDEA Square One.
