Alberta’s creepiest ghost stories are lurking behind several local neighbourhoods, the province’s oldest buildings, and some unexpected places. Are you brave enough to listen to these tales? If so, you have a few options between different haunted locations!

Banff Ghost Tours

Both Edmonton and Calgary’s oldest neighbourhoods contain eerie stories of hauntings and the unexplained just waiting to freak you out; you can also tour the creepier side of Drumheller, Banff, and Stony Plain.

Heritage Village Folktales Tour

 

Make your way slowly through Grande Prairie’s Heritage Village this fall and hear of all the ghostly Folktales and stories hiding behind each door. The Village’s Folktale Tours run for one weekend only this October and include an hour-long walk through the Village with a knowledgeable guide.

The old buildings of the U of A provide a spooky backdrop for tales of the University’s history and early beginnings. The History & Haunted Hike will guide you past these buildings, like the Rutherford House and the power plant, as you hear about the ghosts who inhabit them. Tours run for about 90 minutes, depending on the group size.
