Kids’ Hallowe’en Workshop
In combination with our exhibit Going Places, we want to make your trick or treating experience road safe. Create your own reflective, environmentally-friendly, and reusable treat bag. Learn about street safety to fully prepare you to enjoy this outdoor holiday event. After the workshop check out the Going Places exhibit from 3 to 5 p.m. included in your admission. PD Day: Monster Mash
Calling all scary monsters, funny monsters, and cute monsters! Come join Idea Exchange in Preston for some monstrous activities. Search for monsters in the library, touch a monster’s brain, make a monster, and do the Monster Mash! You can even dress up like a monster and take a picture in our photo booth. Details
Halloween in the Village
Halloween in the Village is a family friendly event that will include Halloween Safety information, trick-or-treating, crafts, refreshments and more! Costumes are encouraged. A portion of the event occurs outdoors, so please dress for the weather. Details

Wear your costume to the Queen’s Square location of Idea Exchange and join us for lots of spooky fun in this program to celebrate everything Halloween! Details
For our Halloween party, wear your spooktacular costume and be ready to have fun and sweet treats! Enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride and stroll through the lantern lit Village. What tricks will you do and what games you will play at each stop to fill your treat bag? Scary boo crafts and activities are also inside the Museum. The Halloween Party is appropriate for children up to the age of 12 years and must be accompanied by an adult. Details
$10 per child plus HST, up to two adults free with each child ticket. Children under 1 are free and do not need a ticket. $11 plus HST per EXTRA adult. Only applicable if more than two adults per paid child are attending, or for adults attending only with an infant under 1 year old.

Don’t miss Schneider Haus’ first annual Hallowe’en Pumpkin Party! We’ll be baking pumpkin treats in the woodstove and telling folklore stories.Details
A Vintage Halloween
Bring the gang down for McDougall’s Family Halloween Spooktacular. It’s our annual Samhain (Halloween) Celebration and there’s something for everyone.
We’ll have treats, like home-made Scottish toffee, a “neep” (turnip) carving demonstration, and lots of fun games and crafts for the whole family. Grab a free toffee recipe while you’re there and give it a try at home.

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid!
This concert focuses on music inspired by the many traditions of Halloween; ghosts, magic, witches, cauldrons, and costumes. The composers chosen are known for their success in writing dramatic pieces for the concert hall and the opera stage. Mr. Chung is taking us to the dark side (but only for part of the concert) with Modest Mussorgsky, Night on Bald Mountain; Hector Berlioz, March to the Scaffold from Symphonie fantastique; and Paul Dukas, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Halloween Tot Parade
Dress your little ones as skeletons, spirits, and sprites, THEMUSEUM’s annual Halloween Tot Parade is here! Get ready to make a wicked goodie bag to carry all of the sweet and salty treats you collect through Halloween. The parade starts at 11:30am and will be carried around Downtown Kitchener’s local businesses. The group will be accompanied by a team of interpreters to lead the tots. Details
