On Saturday, September 13, IKEA Canada is inviting families to start the day with an affordable bite — and a chance to give back.

From store opening until 11 a.m., IKEA Family members can enjoy a traditional breakfast for just $1 at any of the retailer’s Swedish Restaurants across the country. Every dollar collected will be donated to the Breakfast Club of Canada, which works to ensure children nationwide begin their mornings with a nutritious meal.
Rob Kelly, Chief Commercial Officer at IKEA Canada, said the initiative is part of a broader push to make cooking and eating easier and more enjoyable. “No matter your budget, living space, or life circumstances, we want to empower the many to rediscover the simple pleasure of gathering around a home-cooked meal,” he said.
The breakfast fundraiser also comes with added perks for shoppers. Between September 8 and 17, IKEA Family members will enjoy 20% discounts on cooking and dining essentials, as well as dining furniture. Looking further ahead, more than 200 new products are set to roll out in the coming fiscal year, from dining tables to storage solutions designed to cut food waste and save money.
For Tommy Kulczyk, President and CEO of Breakfast Club of Canada, the collaboration means more than filling plates. “They’re fueling futures,” he said, noting the impact nutritious meals have on children’s ability to learn and thrive.
The $1 breakfast and special promotions are available only to IKEA Family members, who enjoy exclusive perks throughout the year. Membership is free and can be quickly activated online.
