The enchanting story of The Nutcracker will be brought to life in a new way – over 1 million frames of video projected onto the 500,000 cubic feet walls of BMO Centre – curating a grand immersive display that relays the tale of The Nutcracker from opening to finale.
Wander through the gallery filled with projections of the fairytale and listen to Tchaikovsky’s beautiful music like “The March of the Toys” and “The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” while enjoying the special effects that will make you believe that magic truly is real.
The 30-minute immersive experience, set to the sweeping music of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, features five fantasy-filled worlds designed by Storywall Entertainment’s creative and technical teams.
As per the news release, world-renowned ballet dancers Denis Rodkin (principal dancer) and Eleonora Sevenard (leading soloist) perform expert choreography amid the brilliant animations; with young Canadian talents Elizabeth Pivovar and Alexander Marinosyan playing young Marie and her brother Fritz.
If you’ve got kids and want to introduce them to this tale in a fun and interactive way, then visiting The Immersive Nutcracker is the perfect way to do that. They’ll be delighted by the life-sized nutcracker as well as all the fun activities onsite.
The exhibit begins November 20th, and tickets are available to purchase online.
