See Jasper at its most authentic! Jasper in January festival celebrates the beauty and spirit of winter with three weeks of fat biking, dog sledding, skating, skiing and more! Don’t miss the surprises in store as we celebrate the 30th anniversary!

After a full day of skiing or snowboarding, dog-sledding, snowshoeing, skating (or just relaxing), dive into Jasper’s apres scene with a series of FREE music and comedy shows, located at multiple cozy establishments around town.

Highlights include:

FESTIVAL OF GALAXIES: On select dates this January, our staff of astronomy experts will spotlight some of the most amazing galaxies in the heavens as part of our Planetarium & Telescope Experience COMBO.

PYRAMID LAKE SLEIGH RIDES: Matched teams of horses, tuned bells, sleighs with comfortable seats and warm throw blankets make for a classic winter experience.

DOGSLEDDING ON PYRAMID LAKE: Silently MUSH across Jasper National Park’s frozen Pyramid Lake upon Canada’s oldest form of winter transport

JASPER WINTER PENTATHLON HIVERNAL: Participate in these five events: biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and running.

DARK SKY SNOWSHOE: Immerse yourself and experience the star rich dark skies, or moonlit skies, of Jasper National Park and snowshoe a 2.5km loop.

ATCO STREET PARTY : With street performers, live music, food, games and an ice bar, this is one event you can’t miss.

WHISKEY, WINE & HOPS FESTIVAL: Have an evening of scotch, fine wines & spirits, local and internationally brewed beers and a selection of delicious tapas.

POND HOCKEY TOURNAMENT: The Jasper Pond Hockey Challenge will bring the coveted Canadian Pond Hockey game to one of the most scenic venues in Canada.

JASPER WINTER PENTATHLON HIVERNAL: Join for Jasper Winter Pentathlon, an annual non-competitive event that includes biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, and running.
