Canada’s beloved La Poutine Week, presented by People Mover Technologies Inc., returns for its 12th year, showcasing a diverse array of poutine dishes from February 1st to 7th.
The festival, celebrated in major cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, and many others, encourages patrons to explore different poutine variations, share their experiences online, and vote for their favourites on the event’s website.
Participants can engage in the festivities by earning “YUM” points through activities such as registration, voting, social media engagement, and website transactions. Accumulating the highest number of YUM points can lead to winning DoorDash gift cards worth $100 to $500.
For the third consecutive year, DoorDash collaborates with the festival, offering a convenient option for those preferring to enjoy poutine at home. Restaurants on the DoorDash platform can participate in the festival at no cost, a benefit valued at $300, making it more accessible for local eateries to join the festivities.
Participating cities include Banff, Calgary, Charlottetown, Churchill, Edmonton, Fredericton, Gatineau, Halifax, Kelowna, Moncton, Montreal, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Prince Albert, Quebec City, Regina, Saint John, Saskatoon, St. John’s, Surrey, Sydney, Thunder Bay, Toronto, Vancouver, and Winnipeg.
The official list of participating restaurants will be available by the end of January.
