The Alice in Winterland festival, which runs from January 19 to 27, promises an enchanting array of activities that also aim to raise funds for enhancements to the Alice & Fraser Recreation Centre.
The LV Four Seasons Trail winds 1.5 km through a forested wonderland and opens for skating on January 20th, just in time for the festival, inviting skaters to glide freely along the glistening ice path.
As part of the festival, you can participate in a night glow skate event on the same day when the trail is illuminated by the warm glow of lamps and string lights. Hot chocolate and Hot Dogs will be available by donation at the event.
While there’s no charge to explore the trail, donations fuel the volunteers’ efforts to nurture this community gem. For those who do not skate, there are snowshoeing trails through the forest.
Alice in Winterland festival also features events like teen night, pancake breakfast, family day, bingo, music jam, and more! Special events are a potluck and euchre, trivia, and a Hawaiian luau.
