The family-owned Canadian retailer, known for its woodworking, gardening, and DIY supplies, is marking its 19th location, its largest to date.

Located at 1755 Pickering Parkway, just off Highway 401, the store features expansive product displays and a space designed to encourage hands-on learning. Customers will find interactive workshops and live demonstrations, led by the company’s advisors, aimed at both beginners and seasoned craftspeople.

Jason Tasse, President and COO, said the team had been searching for the right spot in the region for years. “We’re excited to officially open Lee Valley Tools’ 19th Canadian store in Pickering, creating new jobs and bringing a superior retail experience to the community,” he noted.

The new store also provides practical perks, such as dedicated parking, while serving as a hub for creativity and skill-building in the area.

Lee Valley previously operated a store in Scarborough, which closed in December 2021. Other GTA locations include Burlington and Vaughan.

Lee Valley’s journey began in 1978 when founders Leonard and Lorraine Lee launched a small Ottawa-based mail-order business. Starting with a single product, a barrel stove kit, the company has since grown into a national name, offering a wide range of tools and household products.
