Developed by LEGO Group and Universal Brand Development in partnership with Universal, Amblin Entertainment and the Back to the Future filmmakers, the new three-in-one reproduction of one of the most iconic movie vehicles of all time will feature LEGO Minifigure versions of Doc Brown and Marty McFly.

LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine set allows builders to create the car from either the first, second or third movie. Version 1 includes a lightning rod and plutonium chamber, version 2 features Mr. Fusion and hover conversion, and version 3 has whitewall tires and a circuit board.

According to the news release, the recreated LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine will have wheels that fold down for flight mode, the iconic light-up flux capacitor, printed dashboard dates, opening gull-wing doors and hood and many more Easter eggs including Marty’s hoverboard and swappable license plates. The set even comes with a banana and tin can, to power the Mr. Fusion device as seen on the vehicle at the end of the first movie.

Once built, LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine will measure over 4.5 in. (12 cm) high, 14 in. (35 cm) long and 7.5 in. (19 cm) wide.

This is not the first time, the company has released a set based on Back to the Future trilogy – a smaller LEGO Ideas Back to the Future Time Machine set was introduced in 2014 and a LEGO Dimensions Level Pack – Back to the Future Marty Time Machine in 2016.

If you are ready to build the 1872 piece set at “88 MPH speed”, the three-in-one set will be available in Canada starting April 1 for $219.99 online.
