FactoryDirect.ca, one of Canada’s largest privately owned discount retailers, with a history spanning nearly three decades, is set to commence a store-wide liquidation sale.

The liquidation sale will begin at all of its 14 locations at February 17th, 2024.
Per the news release, the sale features an extensive inventory worth over $10 million in retail, including products from renowned brands like Apple, Samsung, LG, Dell, Panasonic, Cuisinart, Danby, and more.
The liquidation, managed by A.D. Hennick & Associates Inc. and Danbury Global Ltd., will include a wide array of items such as TVs, smartphones, tablets, computers, appliances, heaters, air conditioners, and toys.
FactoryDirect.ca, once boasting 24 stores and several hundred employees, has faced challenges such as declining sales and rising overhead costs in the post-COVID-19 era, exacerbated by the current inflationary pressures.
The liquidation marks the end of an era for the Canadian-owned retailer, as acknowledged by Alex Hennick, President of A.D. Hennick & Associates, highlighting it as a significant loss for both the company and its customers.
The closure follows FactoryDirect.ca’s court filing under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, with TDB Restructuring Limited serving as the proposal trustee.
