Frank Turner, the acclaimed UK artist, is set to bring his award-winning festival, Lost Evenings, to Toronto for its seventh edition in September 2024.
Following its immense success in cities like London, Berlin, Boston, and Anaheim, Lost Evenings VII will take place at the newly constructed Theatre at the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto. This four-day festival, promoted by Live Nation, will feature a diverse array of live music, panels, and workshops across multiple stages.
Each evening promises a unique experience with Turner himself headlining. The festival kicks off on Thursday, September 19, with an intimate Acoustic Duo show featuring Turner and Matt Nasir. The following night, Turner and his band The Sleeping Souls will perform tracks from Turner’s first five albums. Saturday shifts gears to a punk rock vibe with songs from Turner’s new, yet-to-be-released album. The event concludes on Sunday with a Greatest Hits set.
Parallel to these shows, the Nick Alexander Stage, named in memory of Turner’s friend and merchandise manager who tragically passed away in the 2015 Paris Bataclan attack, will spotlight emerging artists handpicked by Turner.
Beyond the evening concerts, the festival offers “Last Minutes” activities, including pop-ups, open mic sessions, and a daytime showcase by Xtra Mile Recordings. Panels, masterclasses, and workshops led by industry insiders and professionals will also be part of the program, providing valuable insights and advice.
Lost Evenings has won the AIM Best Independent Festival award in 2017 and sold out its events well in advance, including the Anaheim edition in 2023.
Turner’s solo career spans over 17 years, marked by nine studio albums, with his latest release, ‘FTHC’, topping the UK Official Album Chart. He has sold over a million albums globally, played over 2800 shows worldwide, and has a significant international following. His contributions to the music industry extend beyond his performances; during the pandemic, he raised over £200K for struggling grassroots music venues, earning him the Music Venue Trust’s award for Outstanding Achievement.
Weekend passes for Lost Evenings VII are now on sale, with day tickets available at a later date. The festival is open to all ages.
