As the garden’s flowers take their seasonal rest, the paths light up with scenes depicting the beloved Twelve Days of Christmas, inviting guests to a unique, enchanting experience, transforming into a festive paradise from December 1, 2025, to January 6, 2026.
What to See & Do at The Magic of Christmas
- Enchanting Lights: The Gardens will feature vibrant light displays, including The Twelve Days of Christmas. Open from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, displays can be viewed until 10:00 p.m. The Gardens will be closed on December 25. Pets are permitted after 8:00 p.m.

- Magic of Christmas Light Up: The season kicks off with the Light Up Ceremony at the Rose Carousel on December 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The event includes performances, free carousel rides, and the official lighting of the displays.
- Musical Performances: Traditional Carolers and Festive Brass bands perform nightly at the Piazza from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., alternating every 30 minutes. Guests can sing along to holiday carols or enjoy the brass sounds that resonate through the pathways.
- Ice Skating: Beneath twinkling lights, the outdoor rink offers a classic winter experience from December 1 to January 6, with 40-minute sessions running hourly from 3 to 9 p.m. Booking is required in person at the Information Centre, and weather may affect availability. Rates are $5.25 for adults, $4.20 for youth, and $3.15 for children. Skate rentals are offered for $3.15 per person.
- Children’s Activities: Children aged 12 and under can exchange a homemade paper snowflake for a hot chocolate at the Coffee Shop. This fun activity encourages creativity while offering a holiday treat.
- Dining Options: Holiday dining features include à la carte Christmas dinners, Holiday High Tea for $54.50 (children’s version for $31.95). Casual fare and seasonal treats are available at the Blue Poppy Restaurant and Coffee Shop.
- Gift Store Highlights: The Seed & Gift Store offers stocking stuffers like local foods, handmade soaps, DIY craft kits, and Christmas ornaments. Featured items include Maple Salmon Jerky, Whiskey River vegan soaps, and Artcraft DIY ornament kits for children aged 7 and up.
