As Toronto’s dining scene is ever-changing and evolving, it is tough to keep up. Below are some of the newest restaurants to open in the city to help keep you up to date on the newest options for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Along with new restaurants, Toronto has also received new bakeries and dessert shops.

The busy restaurant scene doesn’t end with new openings. Along with the new places to eat, May will also offer people in the city new ways to experience different food. There are a handful of food festivals and celebrations coming up this month in Toronto!

Queen’s Cross
Where: CF Toronto Eaton Centre, Toronto
Frenchy
Frenchy is one of the newest a new cocktail bars in Toronto. Expect elevated brasserie-inspired dining to pair with your cocktails or craft beer. The restaurant embraces French and Parisian culture from the décor and atmosphere down to the food and drinks.

The Dorset
The inspiration for the menus and atmosphere at The Dorset come from the British coast and countryside. The Dorset opened last April as part of many places to recently open in The Well. This May, you can book a special Mother’s Day experience with The Dorset or reserve a table for any day to give it a try. They have a lounge and bar with a menu of snacks, small bites, and cocktails, as well as a separate dining room menu.

La Plume Brasserie
La Plume Brasserie are now open to offer guests a taste of the best of southern France. With these inspirations, La Plume offer brunch, lunch, dinner, kids’, and dessert menus. The new French restaurant in Toronto is perfect for a memorable family meal, a date night, or casual dinner plans.

Greta Bar
Greta Bar started in Western Canada with locations in Alberta and BC. As they expanded out west, they came out east, too! Greta Bar is an arcade bar with a full menu of globally inspired street foods. This includes items like handhelds, appetizers, bowls, and other classic pub foods. Throughout all the tasting, you’ll have access to over a dozen different arcade or tabletop games.

Louis Bon Bon
Something pretty sweet just popped up on Bay Street in Toronto. Louis Bon Bon, a new local dessert shop, opened their doors about two months ago. And while Louis Bon Bon provide a number of sweets to try upon your first visit, they do specialize in one particular dessert. The croissants from Louis Bon Bon come in an array of flavours with different fillings or toppings.

Aamara
Amara, a new upscale Indian restaurant in Toronto, only opened their doors a few weeks ago. Find Amara on St. Clair Avenue for a taste of modern Indian cuisine through the signature meat dishes, oven-baked dishes, and more. The large menu includes a variety of signature vegetarian dishes, too.

This new and all outdoor events will bring together 45 vendors from around Toronto with varying ethnicities and cultures. Along with food, enjoy the live music and picnic environment.

The Perfect Bite, A Dinner Experience
The dinner experience takes a bite out of the captivating and thrilling universe of the Knives Out film series. This immersive and interactive event will have guests on the edge of their seats as they dine together and work to uncover the truth. In collaboration with Netflix, Secret City presents a one-of-a-kind Murder Mystery Dinner experience launching for the first time.

Gluten Free Garage
The Gluten Free Garage was started in Toronto with a main goal of providing better and easier access to gluten free products. It is a large outdoor market of fresh foods but several other products as well. The event is boasted as family-friendly, and everyone is encouraged to shop the many delicious and high quality products being created for those with gluten allergies and celiacs disease.
