McDonald’s is launching a special Minecraft Movie Meal ahead of the release of A Minecraft Movie, which debuts in theatres on April 4.

Minecraft Movie Meal
The Minecraft-themed meal includes a choice of a Big Mac, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, or a McSpicy chicken sandwich, all made with Canadian-raised chicken or beef. It also comes with medium fries, a medium drink, and an exclusive collectible with a corresponding in-game item. Customers can also try a limited-time Apple Shake.
A highlight of the promotion is the Nether Flame Sauce, a spicy chili dipping sauce inspired by Minecraft’s Nether dimension. The sauce combines cayenne and chili pepper with hints of garlic and sweetness.
Exclusive Collectibles and Digital Items
Each meal includes one of six exclusive Minecraft-themed collectibles inspired by McDonald’s characters and game elements. These collectibles come with matching cards that unlock skins in the Minecraft Marketplace:
- Big Mac Crystal – A block resembling a Big Mac.
- Birdie Wings – Elytra wings modeled after McDonald’s character Birdie.
- Fry Helmet – A red Fry Box-themed helmet.
- Grimace Egg – A mysterious purple Grimace-inspired item.
- Soda Potion – A potion with an unknown fizzy effect.
- Zombie Hamburglar – A character wandering in search of hamburgers.
Happy Meal with Minecraft Toys
For younger fans, McDonald’s will offer a Minecraft Movie Happy Meal, featuring one of 12 film-inspired toys or an activity book. Toys are divided into Blockhead characters (such as Creeper and Pink Sheep) and Block World sets (including Diamond Block & Steve). The Happy Meal packaging includes a scannable code unlocking a digital game on happymeal.com.
The Minecraft Movie Meal and Happy Meal will be available while supplies last. The film, produced by Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, is set for theatrical release on April 4, 2025.
