McDonald’s Canada is set to bring the fictional favourite of anime fans, WcDonald’s, to life starting February 27. This unique initiative will feature a new Savoury Chili sauce, manga-inspired packaging, and original episodic shorts in partnership with renowned figures in the anime world.

The concept of WcDonald’s, a playful nod to McDonald’s often seen in anime, transitions from the screen to reality with the introduction of a special McNuggets sauce that embodies the essence of anime’s dynamic heroes.

In collaboration with Acky Bright, a celebrated Japanese manga artist, McDonald’s has created custom packaging that brings the vibrant and diverse world of WcDonald’s to customers. These manga-inspired takeout bags, adorned with sketches of WcDonald’s Crew characters, aim to immerse fans deeper into the imaginative universe of WcDonald’s.

Adding to the fan experience, McDonald’s has joined forces with the legendary animation studio, Studio Pierrot, to produce the first official WcDonald’s anime. This series will consist of four episodic shorts, each exploring different anime subgenres such as Action, Romance, Mecha, and Fantasy. These shorts, alongside new manga content, will be released weekly starting the week of February 26 on McDonald’s official website.
