Today morning, three earthquakes were recorded in the Peace River region of Alberta.
The first earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.5, occurred at 8:46 a.m. and was recorded 30 kilometers east-northeast of Reno. A second earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.6, was also recorded at 8:46 a.m.
Later, at 9:07 a.m., a third earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 was recorded in the same region near Reno.

Though there are no reports of damage, people in Grande Prairie and even Edmonton reported feeling the shake.
I am in Edmonton AB. today. Earthquakes Canada confirmed the detection of a magnitude 5.0 earthquake that struck in the Peace River area Thursday morning. The couch in the hotel moved.

Earthquakes Canada website currently states, “An aftershock sequence is in progress following the 2023-03-16 events near Peace River, AB.”
This area has experienced frequent seismic activity, including a 5.1-magnitude earthquake in November 2022.
