Are you going camping in Canada’s National Parks this summer?
Reservations for summer camping in Parks Canada sites open today at 11:00 a.m. ET.
Parks Canada follows a staggered reservation system with varying reservation dates. Reservations kick off on Monday, March 13, with most Parks Canada sites in British Columbia except West Cost Trail, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks.
This year, Parks Canada has launched a new reservation system.
You will have to create a new a new account using GCKey, a service is provided by the Government of Canada or a listed banking partner.
Once an account is successfully created, users accessing the reservation website before it opens on the reservation day will randomly assigned a place in the queue, while those arriving later are placed at the back of the queue.
When it is a user’s turn, they will have 30 minutes to proceed. Inactivity will lead to being directed back to the queue for a better user experience.
