The New Brunswick Museum, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture, the provincial government, the City of Edmundston, and museum officials, is overseeing the preparations.
Minister of Tourism, Heritage and Culture, Tammy Scott-Wallace, highlighted the significance of preserving historical artifacts like the vehicle collection for both residents and visitors. She emphasized the importance of maintaining these cultural treasures within public institutions.
The ongoing upgrades to the museum facility are part of a phased project. The first phase, involving roof replacement, has been completed. New Brunswick Museum staff are currently preparing the collections for public display.
An architect and a project manager were appointed last fall to develop the museum’s design and address necessary upgrades.
