The newest restaurants in Edmonton for summer 2022 offer something for everyone, and every taste. Where can you find Edmonton’s newest eateries? There are new places to try in the city’s newest neighbourhoods, oldest neighbourhoods, and most iconic areas like Jasper and Old Strathcona. These new spots have you covered for every meal of the day, as well as for cocktails, local beers, patio dining, or nightlife.

EVEL Drinks & Eats

EVEL is one of central Edmonton’s newest eateries and is in a convenient location near the river valley paths, Whyte Avenue, and the University. Stop by for lunch and try their feature item, bao buns, as pork, chicken, or mushroom. Complete the meal with their unique mocktails, cocktails, or bubble tea. Details

Fu’s Repair Shop

We recommend trying out Edmonton’s new Fu’s Repair Shop specifically for the patio, but more generally for the food. The downtown patio creates a super cozy atmosphere for warm summer nights, so sit back and let Fu’s fix you up cocktails or their already-raved-about dim sum. Details

Flame & Barrel

The food at Windermere’s new Flame & Barrel takes inspiration from all around the world to create brunch, dinner, and cocktail menus with huge variety. Flame & Barrel could be your family’s new spot with their kid’s menu, pizzas, poutine station, pasta, and more. Details

The May at the AGA

You can now dine on site at the Art Gallery of Alberta, with their new café The May. Their menu takes inspirations from Edmonton and the local foods you can find around the city. You don’t need to buy admission to the AGA to stop here for food or a coffee, but it does make the perfect end to a day of walking the galleries. Details

En.vie

The new En.vie in the Matrix Hotel is a branch of the well-know Louisiana Purchase restaurant in Edmonton and offers up the same style of southern cooking. Expect that southern cooking to give you comfort and to come with a bit of a twist. This means you can get an authentic Po’Boy in a few different styles. Details

Fuzed Kitchen + Bar

Century Park’s newest addition is Fuzed Kitchen + Bar, who celebrated their grand opening this past winter. The fare is all-Canadian, while the cocktails have a more exotic flare to them. The Dickey’s chain has a new location in Edmonton, a franchise owned by a couple of local Edmontonian! Their menu is perfect for catering your next outdoor event, big or small, with a huge selection of barbecue meats, sides, sandwiches, wings, and more. Details

Fuwa Fuwa

Fuwa Fuwa bring their famous and fluffy soufflé pancakes to SW Edmonton on July 16th this summer! You can already try the treats their Whyte Avenue location which opened in June.

Find the newest location in Windermere this July and indulge in this amazing take on a breakfast favourite. They don’t serve these fluffy creations plain, either, as they come topped with fruits, cream, chocolate, or nuts. They also plan to open a Whyte Avenue location this summer; watch their IG for details. Details
