Funded by the Government of Canada through FedDev Ontario, the outdoor rink offers exhilarating outdoor winter fun in the Durham Region.

Nestled in the bustling heart of downtown, the rink takes pride of place at the Joe Fowler north ball diamond.

The township is planning the location to be more than just a place for skating, adding a unique combination of leisure and local culture. Alongside the icy expanse where skaters glide and twirl, a food and artisan market will be brought to life, offering an array of local delicacies and crafts.

Lakefront Skate and Market, located at 57 Water St in Port Perry, will be open until mid-March. The rink operates daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Most weekends, the rink will be accompanied by vendor kiosks, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Mayor Wotten and Council will be hosting the annual New Year’s Levee on Sunday, January 7 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Lakefront Skate & Market, featuring skating, shopping, refreshments, music, a festive photobooth, and more!
The nearby Joe Fowler picnic shelter offers a scenic spot for visitors to enjoy skating, refreshments, and the winter landscape.

Moreover, the Port Perry Waterfront Trail System offers a scenic 5 km journey along Lake Scugog, starting from Highway 7A and stretching to Scugog Line 8. This trail is perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in nature’s tranquillity.

Downtown Port Perry further enchants with its Victorian charm, heritage buildings, unique shops, galleries, and restaurants, offering a picturesque, memorable lakeside experience.
