New Restaurants to Try in Calgary This Fall – 2024

It is a busy season in Calgary for new restaurants and grand openings. Plus, a few mainstays in the city saw the opening of additional new locations.

The best part about all of the new places to dine, drink, or gather in Calgary, is that so many menus are well-suited to the chillier weather.

 

Calgary has new restaurants, as well as cafes and bakeries, sandwich shops and soup menus. These new eateries also include an array of types of international cuisine, as well as options for a variety of budgets.

Namo Café & Bistro

This beloved café and bistro now have a new location in Calgary. Check out the new Namo Café & Bistro, and all their fresh eats, on Edmonton Trail for your next morning out. The café serves a delicious breakfast, brunch, and lunch with everything lighter fare to hearty, filling dishes. This is now the third location for Namo with the others in Beltline and Haysboro.

Bonjour Sandwich Shop

Head to the new Bonjour Sandwich Shop in south Calgary for the city’s newest must-try handhelds. Bonjour focuses on using fresh and high-quality ingredients while creating menu items filled with French- and Italian-inspired flavours. They also offer the option to build your own sandwich for the perfect meal. Bonjour Sandwich Shop also offer salads, combo meals, and dessert.

The popular Elephant & Castle, with locations around Canada and the northern U.S., have brought their brit-inspired pub and menu to Calgary. Elephant & Castle are now open in the Beltline neighbourhood as a place for drinks with friends, for down-home British cooking, and of course, happy hour!

This Ontario restaurant introduces a bit of a different dining concept for those out on 17th Avenue, and La Ciel offers many ways to enjoy your evening. La Ciel on 17th is made up of three areas: LC Bleu, the rooftop patio equipped with heated igloos. Taverne, the sports bar, and Gourmet, the fine dining restaurant.

Fans of Calgary’s Mogouyan Hand-Pulled Noodles can now enjoy the restaurant from a second location in the city. The smaller Canadian chain has a popular location in Pacific Place Mall, and now another on 17th in Hanson Square. Vera’s Burger Shack, available throughout BC, is now open in northwest Calgary with their famous hand-pressed burgers.
