It is a busy season in Calgary for new restaurants and grand openings. Plus, a few mainstays in the city saw the opening of additional new locations.

Calgary has new restaurants, as well as cafes and bakeries, sandwich shops and soup menus. These new eateries also include an array of types of international cuisine, as well as options for a variety of budgets.
Namo Café & Bistro
This beloved café and bistro now have a new location in Calgary. Check out the new Namo Café & Bistro, and all their fresh eats, on Edmonton Trail for your next morning out. The café serves a delicious breakfast, brunch, and lunch with everything lighter fare to hearty, filling dishes. This is now the third location for Namo with the others in Beltline and Haysboro.

Bonjour Sandwich Shop
Head to the new Bonjour Sandwich Shop in south Calgary for the city’s newest must-try handhelds. Bonjour focuses on using fresh and high-quality ingredients while creating menu items filled with French- and Italian-inspired flavours. They also offer the option to build your own sandwich for the perfect meal. Bonjour Sandwich Shop also offer salads, combo meals, and dessert.

Elephant & Castle
The popular Elephant & Castle, with locations around Canada and the northern U.S., have brought their brit-inspired pub and menu to Calgary. Elephant & Castle are now open in the Beltline neighbourhood as a place for drinks with friends, for down-home British cooking, and of course, happy hour!

Mogouyan Hand-Pulled Noodles
Fans of Calgary’s Mogouyan Hand-Pulled Noodles can now enjoy the restaurant from a second location in the city. The smaller Canadian chain has a popular location in Pacific Place Mall, and now another on 17th in Hanson Square. The noodles are prepared in dozens of different ways including meat dishes, sweet, spicy, or savoury, or vegetarian. After all those dishes, enjoy their signature cold tea drinks or extensive list of cocktails.

Ring in and celebrate the start to soup season with the ultimate cold-weather dining experience: hot pot! Calgary’s new Perfect Meat Bowl are a perfect choice for your next cozy sit-down meal. The restaurant offers a build-your-own hot pot and soup experience with many other menu items to savour like skewers and fried vegetables.

Sot
Get the best of both international cuisine and Alberta’s finest local ingredients with the newest Korean restaurant in Calgary: Sot. The menu is filled with various authentic Korean dishes that are crafted with as many local ingredients as possible. Scozzafava’s Deli
Scozzafava’s Deli is one of the newest restaurants to open in Calgary with about two weeks in business so far. And in that short time, Scozzafava’s Deli have created tons of buzz around their Italian sandwiches thanks to the generous number of toppings and the perfect packaging of each sandwich. The buzz started long before the brick and mortar location showed up, as Scozzafava’s Deli began as a pop-up shop and vendor.

Vera’s Burger Shack
This Vancouver-based burger joint is excited to now have their first Alberta location in Calgary. Vera’s Burger Shack, available throughout BC, is now open in northwest Calgary with their famous hand-pressed burgers. These high-stacked burgers are topped many ways and include a variety of patty types. Vera’s also offer quintessential take-out snacks like fries and rings, hot dogs, and wings.

Bira Bar & Kitchen
While Bira Bar & Kitchen aim to be your new local “sip spot” in Calgary, the new restaurant also provides an extensive food menu to pair with your sips. Bira Bar & Kitchen are also proud to offer a huge menu of spirits, creative craft cocktails, wine, and beer selections.

Tre Vietnamese Kitchen
It might be obvious from the name that the cuisine at Tre includes an array of Vietnamese dishes and flavours. What isn’t so obvious is that this menu is 100% gluten-free! Tre Vietnamese Kitchen are in the heart of the city to make a convenient stop for café drinks, a quick bite, or a filling meal.
