Renowned DJ and producer Excision (Jeff Abel) announced the forthcoming Nexus tour, set to begin on December 22, 2023, in Chicago.
Billed as “Biggest Excision Tour Production Ever”, the tour is a collaborative production of Live Nation, and Insomniac and will traverse various North American cities, including San Francisco, Austin, Toronto, and Vancouver, culminating in Dallas.
“This is the biggest tour we’ve ever done, with over 50 dates, massive production, and an incredibly talented mix of artists joining us on every stop. I can’t wait to be able to reveal more. I’m excited to see all the Headbangers in their hometowns,” said Jeff Abel.
The Nexus tour comes on the heels of Excision’s recent track, “Bass To The Dome,” in partnership with Sullivan King, his seventh for 2023. Earlier this year, he also concluded the 5th Bass Canyon Festival and delivered memorable performances at EDC Las Vegas.
A frontrunner in the Bass Music genre for over 17 years, Excision hails from Kelowna and is credited for pioneering North American Dubstep. With a rich discography and over 2 billion global streams, he’s also the creative force behind large-scale festivals like Lost Lands and Bass Canyon.
In 2020, Excision introduced Subsidia Records, an extension of his prior Rottun Recordings. The new imprint strives to promote emerging artists and the multifaceted subgenres of bass music.
Devoted to nurturing the community, Excision also initiated the Bass Music Initiative last year, aiming to empower budding bass artists.
