The U.S. Geological Survey says 3.8 magnitude earthquake was felt at West Seneca, south of Buffalo.

Though there are no reports of damage, people in Niagara Falls and St. Catharines reported that they felt their houses shake.
Earthquakes Canada says no damages are expected as a result of the quake.
More than 1500 people were killed today in Turkey and Syria due to a 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
The federal and the B.C. provincial governments are now installing up to 50 earthquake early warning sensors on the coast of B.C. to warn about earthquakes off the Pacific coast. These sensors will be connected to a national Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) system that will be operational in 2024.
