No more Greyhound Bus Trips in Western Canada

Greyhound Canada is ending its passenger bus and freight services west of Sudbury except one between Vancouver and Seattle.

Routes in the rest of Ontario and in Quebec will continue, but Greyhound is pulling out from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta at the end of October.

In British Columbia, the route run by US Greyhound between Vancouver and Seattle will be in service, but all other services will stop.

Though services in Ontario will continue to operate, the northwestern Ontario route between Winnipeg and Sudbury will be cancelled.

The company says the cancellations that will take effect from Oct. 31 is partly due to a 41 per cent decline in ridership since 2010.
