Alberta reported 406 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, October 21. This is a single-day record and the first time the province crossed 400 daily cases since the pandemic started.
There are 3,372 active cases in Alberta with 1,649 in the Edmonton zone, 1,174 in the Calgary zone, 140 in the Central zone, 203 active cases in the South zone and 189 active cases in the North zone. 17 active cases not affiliated with a specific zone.
Alberta Health also announced three deaths.
There are 113 Albertans in the hospital with the coronavirus, including 16 in ICU.
