Now, Enbridge Gas along with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and Ontario have joined together and has made it easier to apply for the Canada Greener Homes Grant.
Enbridge Gas will be the co-delivery partner for the Canada Greener Homes Grant in Ontario and the single window application platform for Enbridge and Canada Greener Homes Grant rebates.
Current Enbridge Gas Ontarians customers who want to make their homes energy efficient can apply via Enbridge Gas’ enhanced Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) program to get up to $10,000 ($5000 via Canada Greener Homes Grant and $5,000 funded by Enbridge Gas) in rebates for eligible home upgrades.
Ontarians who are not Enbridge customers will receive up to $5000 in Canada Greener Homes Grant.
Enbridge says Ontarians who applied via the previous Home Efficiency Rebate (HER) program through Enbridge Gas, may be eligible for more rebates through the new program as long as they haven’t completed their post-retrofit energy assessment before Jan. 1, 2023.
What is HER+ program:
Ontario homeowners who want to make their home energy efficient can get up to $10,000 in rebates for eligible retrofits such as home insulation, windows, doors, and renewable energy systems.
