Ontario Opening Temporary Road Test Centres in Ottawa, Niagara Falls and Sarnia

Ontario is opening three temporary road test centres in Ottawa, Niagara Falls and Sarnia to clear the backlog of road tests due to COVID-19.

Those who need to book road tests at these temporary centres can do so starting October 14th (today) online at DriveTest.ca.

The centres will open on October 18, 2021.

Temporary Centre Address & Hours:

  • Sarnia: 805 Christina Street North, Unit 101, Point Edward — offers class G2 and G road tests seven days a week between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m
  • Niagara Falls: 6080 McLeod Road — Offers class G2 and G road tests seven days a week between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Ottawa: 3310 McCarthy Road, Unit 1008 — Offers class G2 road tests seven days a week between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The province says DriveTest is unable to prioritize customers with cancelled appointments due to the high demand for road test appointments.

For those customers who had their road tests cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a credit in the system to rebook a test.

The province, previously, announced the reinstating of renewal requirements for government ids and licences that would have expired on or after March 1, 2020.
