The Sommo Festival is set to take place in Cavendish on September 11 and 12, offering a mix of live music, food, and beverages.
The event will feature over 24 musical performances and culinary showcases from celebrity and local chefs across multiple stages.
Friday night will be headlined by Twenty One Pilots, the Grammy-winning duo known for high-impact performances. Their set is expected to include fan favourites along with material from their album Breach. Sharing the September 11 bill are Iceland’s blues-rock band KALEO, indie-folk artist Hazlett, Canadian songwriter Leith Ross, genre-crossing performer Baby Nova, and JUNO nominee Kellie Loder.
Saturday shifts the spotlight to sombr, a Grammy-nominated breakout artist arriving after a record-setting world tour and a No. 1 debut album. Organizers describe it as one of the season’s most anticipated sets. He’ll be joined by multi-platinum recording artist Natasha Bedingfield, sibling duo Lawrence, JUNO-nominated folk group Wild Rivers, viral artist Sofia Camara, and ECMA Breakthrough Artist of the Year Loviet.
Beyond the music, the festival will showcase a range of culinary experiences, including local craft breweries, regional wines, and food vendors. Live cooking demonstrations will also be featured throughout the event.
Separately, organizers have also confirmed that the 2026 Cavendish Beach Music Festival, scheduled for July 9 to 11, will feature headliners HARDY, Tucker Wetmore, and Cody Johnson.
The Sommo Festival is positioned as a late-summer event that blends live music with regional food and beverage culture, offering a multi-day experience rather than a traditional concert format. As the September dates approach, organizers are aiming to deliver a program that reflects both the scale of a major music festival and the character of Prince Edward Island’s hospitality and creative scene.
