Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park

Winter River Trail
Winter River Trail is only five kilometres from Charlottetown. The trail will take you through a white spruce forest and has river lookouts along the way. The trail is great for hiking all year round. During the winter, the trail is great for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

This winter season spend some time exploring Charlottetown by snowshoe. Many hotels have partnered with the city to provide complimentary snowshoes from Tubbas snowshoes, along with accommodations. Bell Aliant Centre
Grab your skates and head to the Bell Aliant Centre for some fun. Check the arena schedule to see when there is a public skate that you can take part in. There are also hockey games that you can watch or take a dip in the pool at the aquatic facility if you like to swim.

Practice your swing inside this winter at All About Golf. Their golfing simulators allow you to practice and even play on some of the best courses in the world. If you want a real-life experience, there is an indoor 18 hole golf course that you can play a round on.
Just 5 minutes outside of Charlottetown, in Stratford, is the Happy Potter. You can either create your own pottery or paint one of the premade items. There are other creative activities for families like slime-making, fused glass and much more.
Small Print Board Game Café
Spend an evening with family and friends playing board games at PEI’s first board game café. The Small Print Board Game Café is a 19+ venue with minors being allowed with a parent or guardian until 8pm and costs $5 per person. There are over 300 games to choose from. If you have any questions about the games or rules, the staff is knowledgeable about almost all the games.
Most people do not think about ice cream in winter. However, ice cream is still yummy treat in the middle of winter. COWS Creamery is a Charlottetown staple and has been named “Best Ice Cream in Canada”. You can take a factory tour and enjoy a sample of their cheese and ice cream.

The centre showcases everything from the visual arts to musical theatre and looks to the past and present to inspire future art.
