Pickering is kicking off the holiday season with 3 days of grand celebrations this weekend.

The city is going all out with fabulous fireworks, an enchanting holiday light display, delicious food vendors and activations to delight visitors of all ages!
The city staff has thoughtfully decided to do the same programming for all three days of the event, Winter Night, City Lights, so that you can at least attend one day and not lose out if you are working on other days.
The festivities will take place at Esplanade Park and will run from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on November 25th, 26th and 27th.
There will a tree lighting ceremony every day at 6:30 p.m. followed by fireworks.
Pickering Community Concert Band, Jade Falsetti, Lexi the Rap Dad and Vintage will take to the stage to entertain the crowd. There is also an Isabella Hoops Fire Show and Bumbling Bert’s Magic Show to delight the whole family.

Though there is no Santa Claus Parade this year (there are many other parades in the Durham region), Old St. Nick will be visiting the park. The city will be accepting food and toy donations.
While the event is free, the city is asking visitors to register via Eventbrite to ensure good event planning and crowd control.
Winter Night, City Lights Illuminations will remain until January 31, 2023.
