Popeyes Canada Debuts Anime-Inspired Menu With ONE PIECE Collaboration

Popeyes is leaning into anime fandom with a new limited-time collaboration tied to ONE PIECE, bringing a themed menu to Canada starting Monday.

The fast food chain has partnered with Toei Animation, the studio behind the long-running series, to roll out what it calls its first anime-inspired offering. The idea is simple. Take familiar Popeyes flavours and dress them up with references fans will recognize.

At the centre of the launch is The Luffy Bento Bundle, priced at $9.99. It includes two pieces of the brand’s Signature Chicken, fried pickles coated in its seasoning, and a fountain drink. There’s also a smaller addition, Chopper’s Cupcake, listed at $4.

Matt Harper, Senior Director of Marketing at Popeyes Canada, said the collaboration is about meeting fans where they already are. He pointed to the shared sense of energy and adventure between the brand and the series.

For those who want more than just the food, one Toronto location has been redesigned around the theme. At the restaurant at 273 Yonge St, Popeyes, is hosting an immersive takeover featuring moments from the show. It runs until April 27.

The menu itself will only be around for a short time and is available at select locations across the country. No exact end date was given, but the message is clear. If you’re curious, don’t wait too long.

The collaboration taps into a franchise that has been around for over 25 years and still draws a massive global audience. Now, at least for a moment, it’s showing up in a very different place. A fried chicken combo.
