Per the news release, the new credit card will allow members of Porter’s VIPorter loyalty program to accumulate points more quickly through everyday purchases and redeem them for flights within Porter’s expanding North American network and global airline partners.
VIPorter program provides 100% of eligible points for every flight purchase, including Basic economy fares (excluding taxes and fees).
Additional benefits include PorterReserve flight certificates for members spending $3,000 or more annually, and the ability to roll over up to $3,000 in Qualifying Spend into the next year to accelerate elite status.
Cardholders can also redeem points for any available seat with no blackout dates, using either points-only or cash-plus-points options.
A pre-launch waitlist is now open, with eligible applicants receiving 10,000 bonus VIPorter points upon approval when the card launches. Complete details of the card’s features will be announced later.
