Calgary 
PowerPlay, a new 80,000-square-foot entertainment venue, is set to open this November at Southcentre Mall in Calgary, bringing a range of high-tech recreational activities and dining options.
The venue will feature a variety of attractions, including dine-in micro movie theatres, bowling, interactive simulators, and immersive gaming zones.
PowerPlay will also offer premium dining, a coffee bar, and advanced self-serve concessions using Amazon technology. Entertainment offerings include the Immersive Gamebox, which provides a 360-degree gaming experience without the need for virtual reality headsets, and simulators like Strikezon Baseball and Golfzon Social.
In 2025, PowerPlay plans to further expand with a speakeasy, rooftop patio, laser tag arena, and a Starbucks, broadening the venue’s appeal. The venue aims to redefine leisure activities in Calgary by offering diverse, immersive experiences for visitors of all ages.
PowerPlay Job Hiring Fair
PowerPlay is expected to inject significant economic benefits into the community by creating over 150 job opportunities in diverse roles ranging from food service to entertainment and guest services. To fill these positions, PowerPlay will hold a job fair on October 25 and 26 at the mall’s lower level admin offices, next to Crate & Barrel.
