The unveiling was part of Ontario’s trade mission to the United States to showcase Ontario’s automotive capabilities, end-to-end automotive supply chain and innovation on a global stage.
Project Arrow, built at the Automotive Centre of Excellence at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, was developed by the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA) of Canada with funding and support from federal and Ontario governments through the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network.
Built to 2025 model year motor vehicle safety specifications, Project Arrow is named after Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow.
All parts of the vehicle except the touch screen by Lenovo were made in Canada. Project Arrow was designed by Carleton University’s School of Industrial Design. Over 58 Canadian industry partners were part of the design and built of the prototype vehicle.
