The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) has launched its Takeover Tour, featuring nine regular-season games outside the league’s home cities in neutral venues.
The games will be held between January 5 and March 29, 2025, across the United States and Canada.
Venues include Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Videotron Centre in Québec City, and Rogers Place in Edmonton, among others.
Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, which set a U.S. professional women’s hockey attendance record of 13,736 in 2024, is the only returning location.
The six league teams will all participate in the tour. Montréal Victoire and Ottawa Charge are scheduled for four games each, Boston Fleet and Minnesota Frost will appear in three, while Toronto Sceptres and New York Sirens are set for two games each.
Three matches will be played in Canada, including Montréal Victoire against Toronto at Rogers Arena on January 8, Ottawa Charge versus Montréal at Videotron Centre on January 19, and Toronto Sceptres against Ottawa at Rogers Place in Edmonton on February 16.
The initiative is part of the league’s plan to engage more fans and showcase the league’s talent across a broader geographical area.
