1. Regina Word Up Poetry Slam

This month, Regina Word Up and the UofR’s English Student’s Association are coming together to bring you an action packed poetry slam as their fundraiser for Trash Talkin’! Trash Talkin’ is the University of Regina’s annual pop culture literary conference that focuses on topics that don’t always get brought up in typical academic situtations. Trash Talkin’ accepts both academic papers and creative writing, and focuses on developing the potential of students as writers and scholars. A poetry slam is a dialogue between audience and performer. It is a competitive event wherein spoken word artists share their work in a high-spirited, fast-paced environment to an often uproarious crowd. All ages/+19 cash bar.
