This solemn ceremony includes the “Last Post”, the “Lament”, the fly-past, the change of the guard, the wreath-laying, the parade of veterans, military units, cadets, police, brass bands, and pipes and drums, and is befitting for the many tearful private moments of remembrance.  More Details

UBC Remembrance Day Ceremony

This year, 2025 will mark seventy-five years that The University of British Columbia has hosted a Remembrance Day ceremony. This special ceremony is an opportunity for faculty, staff, students and members of the on and off-campus community to honour and remember all those who served in times of war, military conflict and peace.

This year’s ceremony will include participation and recognition of UBC’s Vancouver campus and will feature short readings and remarks from special guests.

Remembrance Day Ceremony  Maple Ridge

On November 11, citizens gather in Memorial Peace Park to honour the service of men and women past and present in the defence of our nation. The Cenotaph at Memorial Peace Park is inscribed with the names of young people from our community who gave their lives for liberty.  Join your community on November 11 for the annual Remembrance Day ceremony in Maple Ridge. It is a very special tradition in our community. The ceremony begins at 10:30 AM with a parade through downtown that will end at the Cenotaph in Memorial Peace Park. After the parade, the national anthem is sung, followed by the official ceremony at 11:00 AM.  The flags will be lowered at 11:30 AM.

The New Westminster Museum has compiled a map touring the family homes of 19 New Westminster Veterans. Interpretive posters telling their stories were created by New Westminster’s Heritage Preservation Society and researched and written by local histrian Jim Wolf.  Details

The Port Coquitlam Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133 will hold its annual Remembrance Day service to honour veterans. We honour those who fought for Canada – in the First World War (1914-1918), the Second World War (1939-1945) and the Korean War (1950-1953). This year the Remembrance Day Parade route will muster along Clarke and Kyle Streets, adjacent to the Port Moody Legion at 2529 Clarke St. The parade will start south on Kyle St to St Johns St, east on St Johns St to Grant St, north on Grant St to Clarke St, then west on Clarke St, stopping in front of the Legion.

Remembrance Day Ceremony Richmond

The Richmond Remembrance Day committee organizes the annual Remembrance Day ceremonies on November 11.

Beginning at 10:20am, the parade will feature units of Canadian veterans; members of the Royal Canadian Legion and Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada; Richmond’s permanent Canadian Forces Unit 39 Service Battalion; representatives from public safety agencies; and cadet organizations.

Official ceremonies will begin at 10:40am at the City Hall cenotaph, located on the east side of City Hall. There will be two minutes of silence at 11:00am, followed by wreath laying. Due to the nature of this event, pets are asked to be left at home.
