Simple Minds has revealed plans for their largest North American headline tour in 40 years.
The UK band will perform across the United States and Canada, with Soft Cell and Modern English opening throughout the tour.
The Live Nation-produced tour begins on May 16 at Cascades Amphitheater in Ridgefield, WA, and concludes on June 22 at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, IN. Notable stops include Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Kia Forum in Inglewood, Ball Arena in Denver, Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, and Budweiser Stage in Toronto on June 18, 2025.
The tour coincides with the 40th anniversary of Simple Minds’ 1985 success, highlighted by their hit “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” and the album Once Upon A Time. A special edition of the album, featuring updated artwork and nine tracks including “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” premiered digitally today, with physical releases to follow.
In addition, the band released the single “Your Name In Lights” to celebrate the BBC documentary Simple Minds: Everything Is Possible. Directed by Joss Crowley, the film includes interviews with artists like Bob Geldof and Irvine Welsh and is currently available on BBC iPlayer.
